Who I work with
-

Trauma Survivors
You’ve been through a lot…and it’s changed you. You may carry the weight of untold stories, your nervous system constantly in a state of stress and danger, and it feels impossible to experience your present reality without the painful filter of your past. You long to feel safe in your world and in your own skin. The work I do is committed to creating this safety; moving at a pace that honors the ways you have learned to protect yourself. My passion and training has been focused on learning all I can about working with complex, relational trauma-the kind that follows you from childhood into adulthood and shapes your belief systems.

Sensitive Souls
You feel everything…beauty and heartbreak, joy and grief. You’ve been told your sensitivity is “too much”, and you can’t help but to feel overwhelmed by the intensity of your inner world, especially with how intense the outer world can be. Maybe you have been diagnosed with a personality disorder or some form of neurodiversity, and you’re looking for ways to regulate your emotions so that you don’t feel so overstimulated and destabilized by the waves in your life. Therapy can provide you with tools and practices that help you to see your sensitivity as a strength, rather than a burden.
-

Anxious People-Pleasers
You have been working so hard, doing so much, and giving all that you have to everyone else, and you’re exhausted. Trying to keep up with the endless demands from family, work, community, and everything else has left you feeling depleted, resentful, and easily triggered. My approach in therapy is always to center the idea that our energy as humans is cyclical-we need phases of rest, self-nurturing, and renewal in order to be sustainable and effective in our many roles in life. I’m here to teach you how to do this, so that you can genuinely refill your cup. And beyond that, I’m here to support you in releasing any shame that you might have towards the parts of yourself that also have needs. Therapy is your space to fall apart, to practice setting boundaries, and to remember that you matter just as much as everyone else.

Spiritual Seekers
You sense there is more. You may be deconstructing old beliefs and awakening to a deeper truth within. You are looking for a nonjudgemental space that honors how sacred this healing work can be-someone who supports you in clarifying your deepest values, helps you to create meaning out of suffering so that it energizes you, rather than depletes you, and does not shy away from integrating spiritual work into therapy. Some ways this can be done is through ritual and ceremony, connecting to ancestors and the Earth, mindfulness, prayer, and the intentional directing of energy for purposes of remembering your connection to the whole.
How I work
No two people heal the same way. That’s why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I draw from evidence-based approaches that are trauma-sensitive and integrate the mind, body, and spirit…but more importantly, I work with you to collaboratively build a therapeutic structure and space that fits your unique needs.
Together, we’ll shape a process that honors your pace, your strengths, and your goals. Some sessions might involve somatic exercises to build resilience in the nervous system, others may invite gentle reflection or deeper emotional processing. I would describe my style as being warm, gentle, and compassionate, even when I challenge you to see things from a different perspective. The path we take will be responsive, flexible, and always rooted in our shared intention: your healing, your growth, and your needs.
-
EMDR helps the brain and body process painful memories so they no longer feel so overwhelming. It’s especially helpful for trauma, using bilateral stimulation (like eye movements or tapping) to support healing at a deep, nervous-system level—without needing to talk through every detail.
-
IFS invites you to connect with the different “parts” of yourself…like the inner critic, the people-pleaser, or the wounded child-and help them feel heard, understood, and unburdened. It’s a powerful, compassionate approach that helps you build inner harmony and self-trust.
-
ACT helps you make space for difficult emotions while reconnecting with what matters most. It teaches you to stop fighting your inner experience and start taking meaningful action, guided by your values, not your fear.
-
Somatic therapy recognizes that trauma and emotions live in the body, not just the mind. Through gentle movement, breathwork, and body awareness, we work together to release stuck tension and reconnect you to your body’s wisdom, so healing can happen from the inside out.
Statement of Cultural Humility and Allyship
I approach therapy with a deep commitment to cultural humility. To me, this means that I recognize that no matter how much I learn, I will never know all there is to know about another person’s lived experience. Instead of assuming, I stay curious and listen to the only expert there is on your story- you.
I will always stand in allyship of fellow humans of marginalized identities: whether it be race, ethnicity, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, relationship structures, ability, socioeconomic background, immigration status, faith, and beyond. I honor the unique challenges, wisdom, and resilience that each of these experiences holds.
I acknowledge that systemic oppression, racism, and discrimination compounds personal pain and creates trauma. In our work together, I strive to create a space that not only validates your experiences, but also resists recreating the very dynamics of harm you may have faced.
With that being said, above all, I commit to an ongoing practice of reflection, education, and accountability. I’m a big “challenge the systems of power” kinda therapist, and that means challenging the Western mental health system that can often pathologize the experience of anyone who doesn’t fit into a definition of “normal” that was created by those in power. I am here to walk alongside you in a spirit of respect, openness, and solidarity, supporting your healing in ways that feel true to your unique identity and values, even if they are different than mine.
